On January 21, 2023, Sifu Paul Ramos conducted a workshop on Internal Martial Arts Self Defense Applications. It was held at Roda Movement Center in Takoma Park MD.  16 participants took part in the event which looked at approximately 18 postures, predominantly from Yang Tai Chi while working multiple applications for each. Some techniques were used against single or double punches while other options practiced were against grabs, holds, and Qinna techniques. Some techniques explored the uses found in BaguaZhang or Xing-I Chuan as well.  The 4- hour intensive seemed to fly by and by the time it was over the participants had a solid grounding, as well as new understandings from practicing with partners of varying sizes and skill levels.
