MANIFESTING TAI CHI CHUAN- FROM IDEAS TO PHYSICAL REALITY -
On Saturday April 6, 2024 Sifu Paul Ramos will conduct a workshop on “Manifesting Tai Chi Chuan- in form, push hands, and in self-defense”. During his 30+ years as a national and international level judge he has witnessed a large percentage of competitors who he feels unfortunately miss the point when it comes to their intentioned goals as Tai Chi practitioners. Many seek to perfect choreography and pace but ignore the training involved in incorporating Tai Chi principles, connections and concepts into their physical choreography and pushing hands. This workshop will focus on transforming the body of knowledge known as the “Tai Chi Classics’, into physical reality. Moving slowly and with good structure is the starting place of learning. Then we need to move to the next level. This Intensive will help to make ones’ Tai Chi more real, solid, and applicable. His students have earned over 60 US National Champion titles in empty hand form, weapons and in various styles of pushing hands so we are confident that moving in accordance with the principles is always the best strategy.
The workshop will be held at our Hyattsville location (3811 Nicholson St, Hyattsville MD) from 12 noon- 4 PM. The cost is $100 per person with a short break mid-way through. Any style of Tai Chi may be used as a basis for understanding this material since we will look at principles and not at any particular system. Call 301-651-3617 or email Paul Ramos at longmen987@gmail.com for any questions or to reserve your slot. The workshop size will be limited to 20 participants. All level practitioners are invited to attend and we are confident that every participant will leave this event with new insights and knowledge, This will improve ones’ own practice as well as giving new insights to be shared with students and training partners,
